ExpectationsMembership Fees:2011- 2012 Young Artist Orchestra Concert Fee: $150.00 cash, check or paypal (service charge applies) and can also be paid in 3 $50.00 installments August - October by check or cash 2011 - 2012 The Philharmonic Concert Fee: $75 cash, check or paypal (service charge applies) and can also be paid in 3 $25.00 installments check or cash, August - October. 2011 - 2012 Sinfonia, Sinfonia Chamber and Jr. Sinfonia: $10 cash, check or paypal (service charge applies). These funds help to defray the many costs associated with providing the exceptional orchestral education experienced by our students. The School District of Greenville County proveds support for GCYO by providing our rehearsal space and salary support for our conductors and some of our coaching staff. All other expenses, including our executive director's salary, concert hall rental, and guest coaching staff are provded by the GCYO Associiation. Consequently, each year the association has to raise a budget of well over $55,000.00 Concert Fees are payable to the GCYO Association at the beginning of the school year. All fees are due by September 30th, 2011. If you are paying by installment, the first 2 installments are due by September 30th. We have added the convenience of paying your fee online with paypal at the Charms website. Please see your Charms instructions to learn how to do that. A small service fee applies to paypal payments. Please note that inability to pay the fee due to financial difficulties will not prohibit a student from participating. However, we do ask that you let us know if you are unable to meet this obligation. Please speak with our President, Bill Kendig, should you have any questions regarding fees. To "ease the financial burden", students will be given the opportunity to "earn" their concert fee by selling program ads for our season program booklet. You will be receiving information about this in the weeks ahead. In addition to the concert fee, students who do not reside in Greenville County will be required to pay tuition of $368.00 to the Greenville County School District Concert Dress for Young Artist Orchestra: FormalLadies: long black skirt or pants, modest black top with elbow length sleeves (or longer), black close-toed shoes, black stockings. Gentlemen: black dress pants, black shirt to be purchased through the association, black socks, black shoes.
