Who We AreGreenville County Youth Orchestras is the after-school orchestras program of Greenville County Schools. It consists of five orchestras that meet late afternoons and evenings during the school year. Each provides outstanding educational and performing opportunities for skilled and motivated students. Membership in the Greenville County Youth Orchestras is by audition only. Auditions are open to all public, private, and home schooled students in Greenville County.GCYO's usual season features three concerts by GCYO's flagship performing organization, the Young Artist Orchestra at the Peace Center's Dorothy Gunter Theater, two School District orchestra concerts held at Wade Hampton and Carolina high schools, the Middle School Orchestra Festival, and concert trips to Atlanta, Georgia and Vienna, Austria. |
