Jeff Purtle is a professional trumpet player and a sought after brass teacher with students studying worldwide. He is the first to teach online trumpet lessons. He is the author and creator of purtle.com, which is known as the most complete website on his former teacher, the late Claude Gordon. His articles have been featured in the International Trumpet Guild's publications and his website has been listed in the ITG Top 25 Websites for over 5 years. Jeff has lectured at Furman University, Bob Jones University, Clemson University, Anderson University and the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools state convention. Jeff is married to Mary AllyeB Purtle and they have a daughter, Joniemarie Fuhong Purtle. In addition to his musical activities, Jeff is active at Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church, where he and Mary AllyeB are members.
